In 2023, the Central Institute for Experimental Animals (CIEA) from Japan published in the journal Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications a work describing a new line of experimental hepatocytes, called the HepaSH™ cells: “HepaSH cells: Experimental human hepatocytes with lesser inter-individual variation and more sustainable availability than primary human hepatocytes”.
The goal of these experimental human hepatocytes is to overcome the previously observed issue of the primary human hepatocytes (PHH), such as their inter-individual variations.
Mitologics is happy to pursue this collaboration started in 2023 and further contribute in 2024 to the developments of this project by checking the mitochondrial performances of this new cell line.
